王芳,三级教授,博士生导师、基础医学院副院长、药理学系支部书记。长江学者特聘教授,首批国家优秀青年科学基金获得者,入选教育部“新世纪优秀人才支持计划”,华中科技大学学术前沿创新团队,华中学者特聘岗教授,国家自然科学基金创新研究群体骨干成员。中国药理学会servier青年药理学工作者奖获得者。兼任湖北省药理学会理事长,中国药理学会理事、神经精神药物药理专业委员会常务委员、教学与科普专业委员会委员。国家“十二五”规划教材《药理学》(第四版)副主编、“十三五”器官-系统整合教材《人体功能学》等教材编委,国际期刊《Current Medical Science》编委。主持多项国家自然科学基金、优秀青年科学基金、973课题等。近年在Molecular Psychiatry,Biological Psychiatry, Neuropsychopharmacology,Antioxidants & Redox Signaling,Journal of Neuroscience, Aging Cell等杂志发表SCI收录论文100余篇,他引1400余次。获国家教学成果二等奖、教育部自然科学奖一等奖、湖北省自然科学奖一等奖,三次获湖北省自然科学优秀学术论文一等奖。

21世纪是脑科学时代,揭示脑的高级功能的奥秘是现代科学面临的最大挑战,脑的高级功能研究是本世纪科技发展最重要的增长点之一。近年来,各种精神疾病(如抑郁症、焦虑症和药物成瘾)的发病率逐年增加,特别是抑郁症被称为“精神感冒”,使很多人备受困扰和折磨。毒品背后潜伏的心魔使人丧失理智和正常的生活,这些精神疾病给人类健康带来了严重的危害。

如何揭开这些精神疾病的神秘面纱,寻找到新的有效治疗药物,让我们情感的翅膀平稳地翱翔在生活的天空,远离精神疾病,拥抱健康?——这是我们一直致力于解决的问题。因此,本团队将围绕以下领域进行研究:(1)抑郁症发病机制及药物干预。(2)药物成瘾的机制及其治疗。

目前主持的主要科研项目:

1.国家自然科学基金面上项目,补体C3激活依赖的突触靶向异常修剪在抑郁症中的作用及机制。

2.国家自然科学基金面上项目,黏附分子肌营养不良蛋白聚糖介导的GABAA受体功能受损在抑郁症发病机制中的作用研究。

3.国家自然科学基金面上项目,杏仁核脑区EphrinB2/EphB2信号通路异常介导的负性情绪增强在抑郁症中的作用。

4. 973计划课题,潜在抑郁风险评估相关的生物、心理信息理论依据及验证标准的研究。
